CommentThe galaxy belongs to the group of galaxies of M81, one of the closest to our Local Group. It was the first galaxy outside the Local Group where Cepheid variables were identified. Its nucleus is rich in HII regions, i.e. areas of ionized hydrogen in which star-forming phenomena occur, a rare phenomenon in the central regions of the galaxies.(Text adapted from Wikipedia)
