Comment | Although it was included in the Sharpless Catalogue, it is actually a planetary nebula, located at a distance of 218 parsecs (711 light years) from the Solar System. It appears as a well-marked envelope on the eastern side and very dispersed on the western side, where it seems to have already dissolved. Through its expansion speed, an age of about 7500 years has been determined. Although its appearance resembles a supernova remnant, this possibility has been excluded due to the type of its emissions |
